Our Founder’s Story

Every successful company begins by solving a real problem. PergolaDesign.in is no different.

Coming from a farming background, I was always fascinated by machinery, engineering, and the process of building practical structures. Constructing sheds and working with fabrication was a regular part of life, which naturally developed my interest in design, structural systems, and metal fabrication.

After completing my Master’s degree at NHCE under the prestigious VTU University, I worked in a multinational company. While building my career, I also started a gardening and landscaping business in 2013. Fabrication became an essential part of that business—creating shade structures, net houses, plant supports, metal stands, and outdoor installations.

However, I kept facing the same challenges.

Finding fabricators was never difficult, but finding professionals who understood proper design, engineering, quality standards, and project planning was extremely difficult. Most projects started with fabrication instead of planning. Detailed drawings were often missing, pricing lacked transparency, workmanship varied from one project to another, and delays were common.

The turning point came when I decided to build my first pergola.

Although pergolas looked simple, I discovered they required careful architectural design, structural engineering, accurate material selection, drainage planning, and skilled fabrication. Unfortunately, there were very few companies that could provide complete design, engineering, fabrication, and installation under one roof. Customers were often left coordinating between designers, fabricators, contractors, and suppliers, resulting in confusion, unnecessary costs, and compromised quality.

Our vision was simple: create a company that combines professional design, precision engineering, premium materials, skilled craftsmanship, transparent pricing, and reliable execution—all under one roof.

Today, PergolaDesign.in has evolved beyond pergolas into a complete architectural fabrication company, delivering custom pergolas, skylights, gates, railings, building elevations, privacy structures, CNC metal works, and complete outdoor living solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial projects.

With a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and over 10 years of professional experience as a CAD Designer in Bangalore’s manufacturing industry, she brings extensive expertise in technical design, project documentation, and manufacturing processes. Her engineering background, combined with hands-on industry experience, enables her to transform complex concepts into practical, well-engineered fabrication solutions.

Since the inception of PergolaDesign.in, Mrs. Kokila Ashok has played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s internal systems, standard operating procedures, and quality-driven workflows. Her focus on structured planning, detailed project documentation, and stage-wise execution has helped create a seamless experience for both clients and project teams.

Meet Our Co-Founder – Mr. Chandrashekar G. M.

Mr. Chandrashekar G. M., Co-Founder of PergolaDesign.in, brings together a rare combination of design expertise, practical construction knowledge, and a deep understanding of architectural fabrication.

Born and raised in Bhadravati, Karnataka—a city renowned for its iron and steel industries—he developed an early appreciation for metal fabrication, engineering, and manufacturing. Growing up in an industrial environment gave him first-hand exposure to how steel structures are designed, fabricated, and built.

Driven by his passion for design, he earned his Master’s Degree from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, where he specialized in design and creative development. He went on to build nearly 15 years of professional experience, working in the design industry with leading organizations, including Wipro and Mathan, where he refined his skills in design thinking, project planning, and customer-focused solutions.

The turning point came while constructing his own home. Like many homeowners, he experienced the challenges of working with conventional fabrication contractors—poor communication, lack of professional design, inconsistent workmanship, and a gap between the customer’s vision and the final execution. He realized that while construction technology had advanced significantly, much of the fabrication industry still lacked structured design processes and a customer-centric approach.

Through BNI (Business Network International), he met Mr. Ashok Kumar K. C., the Founder of PergolaDesign.in. They shared a common vision: to transform architectural fabrication by combining professional design, precision engineering, quality craftsmanship, and transparent execution under one roof.

Recognizing the opportunity to redefine industry standards, Mr. Chandrashekar joined the company as Co-Founder, bringing his design expertise and strategic leadership to the business.

Today, he leads the design vision behind many of PergolaDesign.in’s signature projects—from elegant residential pergolas to large-scale architectural fabrication and landmark commercial developments. His focus remains the same: creating structures that are aesthetically refined, structurally sound, practical, and built to exceed client expectations.
